This is my third enGenius access point and so far I'm impressed. The range that I was able to achieve in my 2500 sf house (all one floor) not only gave me full coverage, but I was still able to go about 75' in any direction outside my home and still got clear signal. Many access points I have used in the past couldn't even get me full coverage inside my house.Since I have used enGenius products before, I was already familiar with their way of applying changes which, as some other reviewer pointed out, lets you make changes and Save/Apply but then after all changes have been made you have to go to the "Changes" link in the upper right corner to actually apply those changes which will reboot the AP. If you have never used these products before that part can be confusing leaving you thinking you applied changes but then you don't see them in action. Also, if you are not experienced setting up an AP for the first time you need to pay close attention to the steps included to get the initial working configuration. The out-of-the-box settings will work for most home users with only the need to configure the SSID and passcode for your network.As I said, so far I'm impressed but the next test will be a functional test at my church where the walls are mostly cinder block and doors are made of steel. These are factors, among others, that can affect the broadcast range of any router/AP and are not specific to any brand. However this AP allows you to control the transmit power but to 29 dBm which I'm hoping will help me over come some of the buildings issues with materials and give me a range far enough that 2 of these can cover a single hallway in the building. If that test is successful I plan to buy at least 6 more of these and expand wireless access throughout our church.The reasons I chose enGenius over some of the other options include:1. The ability to control the transmit power to help extend the range in a building that was not designed for WiFi2. The vlan coverage which allows up to 10 independent SSID's with varying degrees of access privileges (also requires a vlan switch)3. Dual band support for both 2.4 and 5 Ghz access4. Ability to power the unit over PoE as most of the places I plan to mount the units do not have power outlets5. Access to the Network Management software, available as a separate download from the enGenius site, to maintain and control all the units from a single location (the software is not included with the AP as some other reviewer seemed to have an issue with)These are really nice units, not only for the inexperienced user, but also for the IT professional. Though the configuration can be a little tricky it's well worth the time and money. I'll update this review again after I get a chance to try it in a full test on-site.
