I don't give 5/5 easily, but for the price + quality + durability + functionality = served me faithfully for 4.5 years of abuse. I've come to use this brand for purchases I can trust. Because life needs a sound track, and life is too short to have crappy headphones that are uncomfortable, or expensive fad headphones that don't work as intended. Sennheiser hasn't disappointed me.Personal uses:-Weight lifting-Running-Riding motorcycle w/ full face helmetPRICEI am unsure what I paid in summer 2011, but once I got these, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Sennheiser makes (at least with 3/4 of my purchases) durable stuff you can beat the hell out of, but still have good quality FOR THE PRICE. If don't want something expensive, but will actually last through abuse for 4+ years and do exactly what I want from it, this will be my go to brand. Whether its some HD 201s to sleep to music in a load environment, or PC 151s to scream at tanks to move the effing boss, Sennheiser is a TRUE VALUE brand I can trust.QUALITYIm sure some $100+ Sony's or something are sweet, but I've always been happy with the sound quality of these. The music comes in loud, and completely tunes out the try-hards grunting and that Taylor Swift crap or whatever it is that gyms always play over the speakers. I swear its the SAME damn Pandora station at EVERY gym! Cheap Behind the Neck headphones have a problem pinching or making your ears soar. Not these though. They sat comfortably on me for hours at a time, and I never had to think about them till I took them off. Its all rubber and soft plastic: no pinching, no clamping, super lightweight.DURABILITYThe ONE flaw I could spot with these, and would mark this a 4/5 if it were such a good bargain, is the rubber or whatever coating that protects the wire. After 4+ years of throwing it in gym bags (I don't think I've ever use the baggie that came with it), jamming it in a motorcycle helmet, getting wet constantly, these out lasted and out performed any other physical/mobile headphones I've ever owned, but it finally developed a short after constant abuse. The recurring theme here is, these things last surprisingly long, and I dont have to baby them. Like, I don't understand why people use fragile $150+ Beats at the gym, but to each their own...FUNCTIONALITYNow because it's such a low price, you have to do without the fancy stuff like blutooth, built in mp3 player/radio, etc. Its simple in design and works every time. You may protest, "BUT THE CORD SNAG STUFF BRO", and I counter "No sir!" Because this thing has a simple clip that goes on your collar. I like to bring the cable behind my head first and run it under my shirt to the phone/mp3 player clipped to my waist or in my pocket, just so it definitely doesn't snag on stuff.APPLICATIONS=Weight liftingThey never got in my way, they never snag on anything. I am around 5' 10", and the cable is perfect length to where it isn't so long its snagging on stuff, or too short to where its rips headphones off or music player off waist if I stretch or move too fast.=RunningThe headphone or so lightweight, and no formed right, they will not fall off of or fatigue your ears.=RIDING MOTORCYCLENow, this isnt what theyre intended for, but threw this in as a bonus. They CAN fit inside a full face helmet, but it takes practice getting it down. If you are trying to wear these inside your helmet, PLUS glasses/shades, it CAN be done but takes practice. While this worked maybe 80% of the time, sometimes they would slip out. But everything seems to slip out under a helmet.
